The Editio Critica Maior documents the history of the Greek text of the New Testament in the first millennium. It is the basis for scholarly research into the New Testament text worldwide. Now the volume on Revelation is available.
The volume is published in four parts:
The first part (volume VI/1) contains the Greek text including a clearly structured, comprehensive text-critical apparatus.
The second part (volume VI/2) contains supplementary material that relieves the text-critical apparatus.
The third part (volume VI/3.1) contains further studies on the text: a commentary on selected variants as well as studies on early translations and the patristic tradition
The fourth part (volume VI/3.2) contains studies and a commentary on punctuation and text structure, as these aspects are a particular focus of the volume on Revelation.
Volumes 3.1 and 3.2 are partly bilingual (German/English), partly only in English, and partly only in German. The text-critical commentary in volume 3.1, e.g., is only in German, the commentary on punctuation and textual structure in volume 3.2 in in German and English.
