It forms the basis for New Testament translations worldwide and is used in classrooms around the world. It provides its users with a reliable Greek text and illuminates the course of its development for selected passages - wherever significant variants exist in the New Testament manuscripts.</p> <p>For the fifth edition, the readings of the newly discovered Papyri 117-127 have been incorporated, which opens up interesting perspectives particularly for the Acts of the Apostles. In the Catholic Epistles, the edition was brought into line with the »Editio Critica Maior«. This resulted in more than 30 modifications in the main text and in a critical apparatus that has been completely recompiled for this section and includes a new selection of witnesses and variants.</p> <p>The Greek New Testament is edited by the Institute for New Testament Textual Research (INTF). The INTF is a university institute in Münster (Germany). Its general task is research on the textual history of the Greek New Testament and the reconstruction of its initial text. The INTF also edits the Novum Testamentum Graece (»Nestle-Aland«) and the Editio Critica Maior for the German Bible Society.</p> <p>The concise Greek-Spanish dictionary by Elsa Tamez and Irene W. de Foulkes has been designed especially for use with the UBS Greek New Testament and the Novum Testamentum Graece. The different meanings of each Greek word are given in today's Spanish and are arranged according to their usage in the New Testament. In addition, the edition features cross-references between related Greek words. </p>
